Awake! and arise from the dust, and hear the words of a trembling parent…

I was heartbroken when the Provo tabernacle burned, thinking we just lost a beautiful building with a lot of history. When the church announced that they would buy the site and build a new temple there using the original walls that were left, I was so excited. My sons went through the open house and told me how beautiful it was inside and how strong the spirit was. I couldn’t wait to fly out to see for myself and take pictures of the outside. I flew out to UT 3 times that year and every time, I would drive down to the Provo City temple to take more pictures. I wanted to make sure I got it right. I wanted to paint a picture worthy of the structure and the surroundings that would bring beauty and the spirit into the homes of those who hung the picture. George Q Cannon stated, “Every foundation stone that is laid for a temple, and every temple completed according to the order the Lord was revealed for His holy priesthood, lessens the power of Satan on the earth and increases the power of God and Godliness.”
