New York City, despite its controlled chaos during the day, comes alive at night. The beginning of the night sky in this picture not only sets off the beautiful white temple among the tall city buildings, but also shows how the temple fits into the NYC night life. Whether day or night, the Manhattan temple beckons us to come, find peace, and serve the Lord. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27). Whenever I visited my sister in Manhattan, I always made sure to attend the temple with her. I would leave the busy streets of NYC and into the house of the Lord, feeling like I just walked into heaven.
